Our mentors strengthen classroom learning by assisting with small groups, reinforcing PBIS expectations, helping with transitions, and supporting students who need extra encouragement. The goal is to reduce teacher workload, not add to it.

Our mentors come from local colleges and universities and are passionate about education, youth development, and community service. They bring fresh energy, positive relationships, and academic support into the classroom.

Yes. Every mentor completes:
A full background check
Mandatory reporting and confidentiality training
PBIS‑aligned behavior support training
Trauma‑informed and SEL basics
Professional expectations and classroom culture training

Mentors come on scheduled days and work directly in classrooms. Teachers identify students or groups needing support, and mentors reinforce expectations, assist with learning, and help maintain a positive classroom environment. Communication stays simple, quick, and consistent.
