Every child deserves a responsible mentor and tutor!
About Us
GrandParents Hands and Children Charity is a healing‑centered, intergenerational organization dedicated to strengthening families, uplifting youth, and honoring the wisdom of elders. The organization creates safe, supportive spaces where children and teens can discover who they are — and where caring adults can share their gifts, stories, and lived experience.
Every young person deserves to feel seen, valued, and supported. Many children today face emotional challenges, school disconnection, and a lack of consistent adult guidance. At the same time, many elders long for purpose, connection, and opportunities to pour into the next generation. GrandParents Hands and Children Charity brings these two groups together in ways that transform both.

Our mentors' mission is to help students:
Stay on track academically with one‑on‑one help and encouragement

Strengthen emotional well‑being by offering a safe, caring adult connection
Develop life and work‑readiness skills that prepare them for the future
Feel seen and supported, so small struggles don’t turn into bigger problems.
improve school attendance.
What We Do
Programs are designed to help children and teens ages 6–18 build emotional strength, social skills, and self‑confidence through mentorship, creative expression, and intergenerational connection. Elders are empowered to serve as culture‑keepers, teachers, and stabilizing forces in the lives of young people.
Our work includes:
Mentorship & Support for youth facing emotional or practical challenges
Intergenerational Activities that build trust, understanding, and shared purpose
Family Engagement to strengthen relationships at home
Community Partnerships with schools, churches, and youth‑serving organizations
What We Believe
Intergenerational relationships strengthen communities. When youth and elders connect, everyone grows.
Skill sharing builds confidence and legacy. Elders pass down wisdom; youth bring creativity and new ideas.
Bridging the gap creates understanding. Stereotypes are broken and empathy is built across generations.
Connection improves mental health. Companionship reduces loneliness and increases belonging for both youth and elders.
Our Vision
A community where every child has a caring adult in their corner, every elder has a meaningful role, and every family feels supported, connected, and hopeful.
