💼 How to Become a Peer Supporter in Ohio
To become a Certified Peer Recovery Supporter (CPRS):
1️⃣ Complete the 16‑Hour Online Training
Available through Ohio Learn (OHID)
Search: “16‑Hour Certified Peer Recovery Supporter Training Curriculum.”
2️⃣ Attend the 40‑Hour In‑Person Training
Choose the Youth track if you want to work with students.
3️⃣ Submit Background Check & Application
OhioMHAS reviews and issues certification.
Mentors and Peer Supporters help students feel seen, valued, and supported — in schools, churches, and the community.
