Every child deserves a responsible mentor and tutor!
Welcome to the Strategic Mentoring Corps
Your journey toward career experience, community impact, and professional growth starts here.
College students across Ohio are joining our mission to strengthen youth, support teachers, and build healthier communities. Whether you need internship hours, practicum experience, or résumé‑ready service learning, you’re in the right place.
We have mapped our volunteer roles directly to the requirements for high-level public and private sector careers:
Federal & State Competitiveness: Gain the "pro-social service" experience required for GS-level federal roles and state government positions.
Professional Credentials: Fulfill your requirements for BCI/FBI background history, practicum credits, or clinical observation hours.
Portfolio Building: Real-world applications for your skills, from behavioral health intervention to graphic design and marketing.
The "Near-Peer" Advantage: Develop leadership and de-escalation skills that are highly valued by law enforcement and educational employers.
